Garlic

Plant garlic directly in the ground or start them off in small pots if  the soil is heavy. Garlic can also be successfully grown in pots, tubs and containers.

Wild birds often pull up newly planted garlic cloves so it is advisable to cover them until they have rooted in. (Horticultural fleece is suitable and available in Garden Shop.)

Plant: September - December for June harvest.
